PrettySecrets Review | Lingerie Shopping online | Fashion Blogger India

The mere thought of walking into a mall and spending much time and money on a bra that could substitute as a pillow at times gives me shriveling in my bed!! But thanks to PrettySecrets for introducing me to all that Jazz in their website from the comfort of my Red couch, I’ve finally realized Bloggers infatuation with online shopping of lingerie.

One thing that is guaranteed when you buy lingerie online, is that it arrives in the loveliest and this one came in a pretty Pink Box  I undid my ribbon-tied PrettySecrets box and carefully unfolded the tissue paper to this gorgeous cherry print Bra and a lovely green comfort fit padded bra. I went for them as both of them instantly caught my eye – the colours and the print looked amazing!

In smaller cities, like in my case, I find it incredibly difficult to find lingerie that is sexy and well fitting. So most of the times, I have to choose one of the two (I'll leave you to ponder which). So when asked if I'd like to review Pretty Secrets Lingerie Collection, I jumped at the chance. As told above, I opted for Padded Bras in beautiful colors and Prints which seems just perfect for Gloomy Winter days ahead.

In terms of the fit, everything was held in perfectly, the style looks classy and the subtle padding added a little extra oomph. The cup is perfect and leaves nothing out or to the side. The straps are thick but not too thick which is perfect for most of the strappy dresses in my wardrobe. It pushes the girls up and out and that is the number one thing I look for in a great bra!I was a bit worried about the underwired (cherry print Bra)  inside the cups but I am so looks-orientated that this set definitely won me over. The whole look is quite over-the-top, in a good way of course, as the plunge shape creates a descent cleavage and the design is quite eye-catching. The fabric is quite thick so be sure to match this bra with something not-so-clingy!\

I  completely adored the lingerie arsenal of Prettysecrets which is stuffed with frills, lace, color and all kinds of embellishments , prints and comfortable lingerie at the same time, not to forget the designs are equally appealing. Each category have a select few pieces that are classy, elegant and most importantly,  they all manage to retain a completely unique feel.

I hope you liked my review and will be looking into Prettysecrets for your next lingerie shopping – they are a great option if you fall into their size range and are looking for a good push-up bra with a lovely fit. If you fancy yourself a very own set from Prettysecrets, I would suggest you look  here and find your perfect set! Always Remember always wear the best of the lingerie even if you are the only one who's gonna see them !!
Love XOXO

Find You Perfect BB Cream | BB Creams Comparison and Review |

Let’s talk makeup today. Yeah I know its one of the rarest things you can expect me to talk about as I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis, and a “full face,” is never my preferred look. If I need to toss on some makeup quickly, I just use a handful of products to even me out and call it a day. So basically my approach to beauty products is pretty low maintenance but I  do like to occasionally invest in a handful of quality products that helps me put up a natural look for a day out.

And the product we are talking about today is BB creams and I think  its very important to find your perfect match as its the one  product that goes all over your  and therefore its the most important element to your look. I was sent two BB creams of  different brands for a comparison and making a personal choice after review ( which is pretty much the toughest job for a non-makeup user like me) but since I had already tried and experimented with both the products , the task became pretty easy for me. On my recent hunts for different BB creams, I tried Garnier BB cream and according to me the texture is slightly thicker and takes much effort to blend into your skin , giving it a cakey look on application. After a while, it also  starts to break down a little with the natural oils of my skin and makes it feel greasy and unbreathable. So definitely its not one of  my Preferred product.

For me, my perfect match BB cream, is the one which covers the entire complexion spectrum in  a few strategic swipes and adds a little brightness and evenness to the complexion without the feeling of a face full of makeup. And it must be incredibly easy to apply – no extra effort needed. And hands down to Ponds White Beauty BB cream for doing a solid job, giving me nice opaque coverage without looking heavy. It blends like a dream giving my entire face a seamless and smooth finish. I have a pretty oily skin so I  definitely need to apply some powder to keep it sweat and oil proof for a longer duration but this one does not breaks down or feels heavy on my skin even after 4-5 hours. The best part being  it comes with SPF 30 and PA++ protection and is very affordable too.

Have you found your Perfect Match Yet?  Let me know in the comments which BB Cream is your personal Favorite.

Stereotyping Mothers | Create your own Brand of Motherhood | Fashion Blog India

Motherhood is a beautiful  life- changing experience but it often comes with some guilt's attached. It feels really silly admitting it but often I find myself guilty about anything and everything- to begin with I'm just not 'good enough' as a mother!!

Being a mother, you become vulnerable  to the world around you and easily fall into the trap of comparing yourself with other so called 'perfect mums' in and around you ,who keep a spotless house  being impeccably groomed at the same time, goes out on weekends with husband and is raising perfect kids. And all of a sudden everyone seems to be 'more together' than you and have a 'balanced motherhood'  but believe me it is impossible to be doing all this and retain your sanity at the same time. Things do fall apart at some stage and some of us may be better at the act of juggling and balancing things up than others. But truthfully, we are all muddling along down this path of motherhood, we might just be at different stages.  And if someone still tells you that Supermom's do exist, 'they are lying big time' .

Comparison has always been the thief of joy and when we get lost in comparing ourselves to others we can lose sight of who we are and what makes as special and unique as a person and  more importantly as a mother.

It's really 'OK' to Put off the Saturday morning housework so you can cuddle in bed with your husband a little longer while your baby naps. Take a break from the routine cooking and cleaning work, order your favorite food and spend some time with your kids. Its ok to sleep a little late and perfectly ok to take a break from' being a mom'. Its time to keep aside all the stereotypes and create your own 'brand of Motherhood'.

What it all comes down to is how you feel about yourself. If you are happy with how you look and the life that you live—fantastic! Don’t change a thing. Just remember, you don’t have to follow a set stereotyped rules to be a good mother. Parenting cannot be taught or learned, it comes naturally to everyone out of their own experiences. You can always choose to get inspired by other mothers to become a better version of yourself but never fall down that rabbit hole of comparison. Everyone has their own journey, their own strengths and passions, that’s what makes them who they are and you who you are. So embrace yours and be the mother that you are meant to be and empower those around you to do the same.Goodness knows being a woman is tough enough as it is; why are we making it harder on ourselves by comparing and thinking we should be more like someone we were not created to be? Let’s complement each other and lift each other up in this beautiful journey called motherhood!

While I sit back and have my third cup of adrak wali chai, take a break 'mommy' and enjoy the outfit pictures.

Beach is Therapeutic | Denim Overalls | Fashion Blog India

Every person has that one place to go to whenever they’re feeling stressed, depressed, angry or just need a place to let go. This is my place to let go. It always will be. The ocean is just so magical…and I will always be enchanted by it, no matter how many times I go to the beach. Yeah there will be tans but remember tans will fade but those memories will remain forever.

There is something so incredibly therapeutic about beaches. Try it sometime-and just set your heart and mind free from all the burdens of your life. It’s beautiful to be where I am, right by the sea. I’m blessed, truly!!! Life seems so different here ..it doesn't move from hour to hour like it is back home but life here moves from mood to moments. When you are at beach, you tend to live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun. Already missing my mini getaway to this beautiful place. Till next time enjoy the outfit post ......

Do what makes your soul shine and have a magical week ahead !!

Birthday Month Begins | New in my Closet | Shop Abaday

I can't believe it's September Already. And how can I keep Calm , after all its my Birthday Month !!!  I've got so much planned, it's already been a great start with lots of Pre Bday Celebrations, Shopping and a lot of travel plans are surprisingly also on the cards this year
* Feeling Blessed & Loved*

Thinking about my birthday I've been pondering getting myself a little treat and buy things which are on my bucket list for a while. Luckily I'm still in the age bracket where I get a little bit of birthday money from Parents, although I'm sure that'll come to an end in the next couple of years when our children will take over all that attention too, so I may as well make the most of it now!

Last week was a much more chilled out week, what I was equally delighted about is the lovely gesture of the awesome staff at Titan, to surprise me a with a Birthday Cake ,'Isn't that just absolutely wonderful'? Well most of things that are needed for customer retention are not always thought at B- schools. Sometimes all it just requires is little sweet gestures.

Last Sunday was  equally exciting as 3 of us friends along with their spouses and kids went for a lunch Buffet at Marriott, and this time which was again a part of my Birthday Celebrations. Three of us are neighbors cum good friends and meet quite often but at times meeting out with the same faces at different place and enjoying cozy lunch just makes it all together so different and heart-warming. Later we all went  to watch Mary Kom, while most of the audience of the movie might be suspicious about how much of that is shown in the movie would relate to the actual life of this 5 times word champion boxer from Manipur,  but what appealed to me the most is two simple messages that can be drawn from movie. First being that Mothers are people first, and they do not need to give up on their dreams if they have the right partner. And if truly such' liberated man' do exists, the another message goes out : a father can be a perfectly competent parent.

Later on in this weekend I am super excited to  be celebrating my Birthday with my Mum, both of us co-incidentally share our birthday dates and am glad we are able to celebrate it together this time which is going to be the our first birthday together post my marriage.

I will be writing a whole post on  my Birthday celebrations and the weekend travel to this beach destination soon, it's a beautiful little place, closer to my place and my heart too. So keep your eyes glued to my Facebook for updates.

In the meanwhile , Enjoy the OOTD pictures of my new Vintage look Bag from Abaday on a  lovely afternoon stroll.
Have a lovely week everyone!!

Festive Colors | Anarkali Outfit for Ganesh Chaturthi | Fashion Blog India

Happy Ganesh Utsav to all my Indian Readers.  I'd just like to take a minute to thank those who have been keeping in touch through my Facebook and Instagram, inspite of my being MIA for a while now.Your continuous support  and love never ceases to amaze me.

Ganesh Chaturthi marks the begining of all fesivals in India and I love the positive vibes of the people during festivals ,Pious Ganesh Pandals impregnated with marigold garlands, tea lights and breathtakingly beautiful decorations. tea-lights. These vibrant colors, music and festivity makes the country alive every year.

And today was one of those perfectly beautiful days after a while ,where I could have easily stayed outside all day!  I was feeling particularly girly and in complete festive mood today so I went with a bright pink and yellow combination with oversized jhumkas to top it off. This Anarkali Dress  just flows and moves so beautifully, and the two bright colors adds to the vibrancy of  this simple outfit and to top it off  the pompom hem lace at the bottom just gives it that extra feminine flair.

How have you been all this while? Hope you are enjoying the Festive Spirit too !!

Healthy Eating | Superfoods to start your Day | Fashion Blogger India

It has been amazingly sunny and hot from a last few days, and this weather really makes me crave for ice-cold refreshing smoothies, fresh fruits and cold salads like the one I made myself today. Watermelon always comes to my mind when thinking of hot days like this one, so I couldn’t miss this fruit when preparing a cold glass of detox water- full of goodness. Cold watermelon/ Pineapple, lemon and mint are perfectly together for a sweet/sour flavor when looking for a little something to cleanse your body. Watermelon is a great fruit to help you hydrate since it’s mostly made of water, and a good source of vitamin C which provides protection against immune system deficiencies. Lemons and mint are just awesome for a whole bunch of health issues because of its antibacterial, antiviral and immune boosting powers. So here you are, a very simple breakfast with Pineapple mint detox water, a bowl of Watermelon  and some dates that tastes delicious and full of great things for your health and well being.

This is my favorite salad at the moment. I’m trying my best to vary as much as I can, but it’s just so good! The juicy pineapples blend perfect with the sprouted lentils, creamy yoghurt dressing, prunes and walnuts, Juicy Tomatoes and  to create the perfect healthy meal. The ingredients together create a beautiful cabbage bowls full of natural bright colors. Eating like this just tastes and feels great. The protein and fiber in the sprouted lentils/beans makes it wonderfully filling, while the combination of the rest of the ingredients is full of healthy fats and provides countless vitamins and minerals which helps your skin, mind and body to stay beautiful and healthy.

It is breakfast time again! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, I just love it! I find it really important to start my day with something nourishing filling and healthy, which keeps me energized through  the morning until lunch. That’s why I love to have breakfast bowls filled with different flavors and textures and bursting with goodness! And this day it was Green tea with cucumbers and Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut water and some fresh plums.

Green Tea with mint and Lemon and a Bowl of Papaya, the perfect morning superfood remedy! It’s so wonderfully sweet with the best texture ever. Papaya is one of the highest anti-oxidants rich foods ever tasted which protects you from free radicals that can lead you to chronic diseases. Its great for those days when you’re hungry but don’t feel like to cook anything.

I am crazy about vegetable stews  and ever since I discovered this easy to make delicious bowl of goodness, I have been making it so many times! The rich and creamy texture feels like heaven in my mouth. It is also a super easy way to eat a nutritious filling dinner when you are on the run all day long and are tired to take out much time to cook a complete meal but at the same time want to eat healthy. Luckily for me, this recipe works every time and is loved even by the little one in the family. Just a spoonful of butter /oil in the pan and put a Star anise and some peppercorns to get the burst of flavor in the butter. Sauté your favorite veggies be it capsicum, caggage, carrots , beans , corn , onions etc. Put some salt and pepper and add enough water to make it a soup... cover it up and simmer for a few minutes. Now add 1/4th  cup of milk and garnish with coriander if you like.

Amazing super food right?! So a bowl of this creamy and rich goodness will fuel you up perfectly for any day!

   Till Next time Healthy Living

Sequined Maxi Skirt on a Beautiful Day | Fashion Blogger India

Life's pretty much on a eat sleep and repeat mode with occasional workout sessions and a lot of healthy eating these days which is 80% raw food but yeah if u talk about end results of it , I have not lost any weight or for that matter inches so far but I am still motivated enough to carry on this healthy lifestyle. I feel good from within and its like cleansing your soul and healing your body and its enough of a reason to keep doing it. Its just the beginning!!

A sequined Maxi Skirt ? You may question the practicality of this decision considering how I 'm never going to get much wear from them. But alas, some secret temptations  occasionally calls for impractical decisions  in life and in closets because sometimes you just want to listen to what your heart just had to say and I wanted to live in this sequin glory forever.

I have a developing thing with sequins lately. I bought some fabric from a local shop and I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it. I've never thought about wearing straight up sequin on a regular day but who knew...This outfit couldn't be more me.  It's got my all time classic white shirt, which I never tire of, a statement necklace, a sequined skirt - to which I have been inexplicably drawn  lately and what else... it's soft + edgy.  You get me, Chicnova .. You really do.  Happy Week ahead to all Sequin Lovers

I've got so much planned, it's already been a great start with lots of Pre Bday Celebrations, Shopping and a lot of travel plans are surprisingly also on the cards this year
* Feeling Blessed & Loved*

I've got so much planned, it's already been a great start with lots of Pre Bday Celebrations, Shopping and a lot of travel plans are surprisingly also on the cards this year
* Feeling Blessed & Loved*
