A little girl in the material world | Floral Denim Shirt | OASAP Review

Every women reading this right now was once a little girl who dreamed of the women she would grow up to be one fine day. A tall strong women with milky complexion, innocent eyes ,flawless skin and a lissom figure to top that all.

A women who would dress up gracefully and not just follow fashion trends blindly. she would like to dance with friends but yet prefer dinner by  the candlelight. she would be progressive but prefer to lend a helping hand to  her mother in the kitchen. she would live in lovely house, have big closet and enjoy romantic getaways on weekends.

The little dreamy girl in us has now grown up in the real world and it seems to have little of what we dreamed it would be.Where are the big houses with beautiful clothes? Where's the time for romance and those weekend escapes? Where are those blossoming gardens and windows overlooking beaches.

And now the little 'grown up' girl realizes that her dreams were unrealistic and immature.
Today there's no place for such Big and Perfect dreams and the need is having a low maintenance hair cut, high speed internet access, healthy lifestyle, good neighbors, respectable dress size and happy babies. Isn't it? Life is no more about perfection as we were taught in the childhood but more about accepting flaws, being unique and learning to appreciate differences and similarities as exciting details that make people who they are.

Its difficult to escape the beauty trap which the media and society has bombarded upon us. Their idea  of a perfect women is difficult to live up to and also impossible to ignore. We all have a biological urge to be liked and to look beautiful and this is very acceptable but targeting to achieve a specific height or be a certain weight, abs or hip measurement that matches someone else's creates a sense of nervousness and insecurity. And this image that the society and sometimes other women's around give us is much like our childhood dreams which are unattainable and  kind of crazy. Playing constant game of comparison to someone's real or virtual life can be depressing so just close your laptop and enjoy your present which is more real and remember that people always post happy pictures and enthusiastic statuses, no one ever likes to post about how miserable their lives are but the reality might be different.
