Rain Falls Again ....A most Welcome Guest!!!

There is something completely magical about the first rains ........something that everyone I am sure waits for in much anticipation

Long before it rained, you could smell the rain and to me this is the most beautiful smell in the world - a strong, rich, fresh & earthy smell.The entire sky becomes a dark gray – almost black – from horizon to horizon, the view is just breathtaking. Finally, the heavens open and dusty earth springs to life again ... overnight.

Oh, I just love this time of year!The flowers blooming everywhere,chirping of birds, foggy weather,clouds,smell of wet mud,wipers draining out excess water from windscreen of cars,wet streets, pitted puddles, mountains , greenery and just everything about Rainy Season , specially at this time of the year..... you can't resist falling in love with everything all over again. In fact, to celebrate, I am planning to go to the nearest nursery and pick up some seeds/plants and pot some seasonal flowers.

Things i love about rainy season

• Sleeping inside heavy Blankets
• Sweaters
• Sipping coffee
• Sleeping till late in the mornings
• Sizzlers
• Seasonal flowers
• Sweetheart hubby

and it's just a coincidence that everything i love starts with S.............oh that sounds so cool.Don't  you just love rainy season and those pipping hot jalebi's and Pakodas with Hot Ginger-Tulsi Tea.I am gonna make tea for myself and you all right there lemme know what you love doing the most in Rainy Season!!!!BTW I am wearing an Indian style polka dotted kurta as a top and a floral print shrug here ...I love mixing prints..hope you love it too!!!

I Was thinking of old friends today and how many of them have slipped away.some of them have moved, got married, or stopped calling so much,found new friends, got busy, and just lost touch.It reminded me of falling leaves,like in every autumn the leaves fall from the trees.some stay longer than others, but eventually each leaf must fall and in the spring new leaves will grow.

Life always follows this full circle like nature does.Somehow ,someway we forget crackling those laughter's with old friends for reasons unknown, bursting into tears with emotions bold but when the sun shines bright we prefer autumn friends of old , which always acts as one strong leaf, which would always stick with the tree despite the blow of the wind. It might sound a little silly but when ever i think of this last leaf of friendship- I think of You

It takes the smallest of triggers to open up the doors to your past and extract loving memories from it, and live in them for a while.

Falling into the mirage of those wonderful days together...........I recall....Popping head from the rickshaw even before it had come to a stop, looking up and waving madly,passing big smiles and bear hugs in the middle of school stairs,roaming arm in arm, in one of the corridors of our school, my french plates and yours ever perfect silky short hair that i was jealous off,those colourful ties differentiating our assembly houses,passing smiles to our house captains while herding in a line towards our classes, cleaning the class board, volunteering to bring chalks from school staff, waiting eagerly for recess , sharing our lunch boxes,trying to impress our teachers,burning the midnight oil lamps for combined studies at your place , sipping several cups of ( ginger + fennel seeds) tea, baking cakes together, eating bowl full of bhelpuri, sharing our dresses & our deep dark secrets too, searching for that perfect birthday gift, exchanging cards on every silly occasions and then counting them to know who's more popular in the class,sitting on the roof top of your house for hours n hours and discussing the silly school time crushes..............................ahhhhhhhhh and last but not the least of what i can recall is those momentous phone calls just after being back from the school and discussing at length ( may be breadth and width too) to discuss what all happened in the class today.

All these memories centred around a heart shaped photo frame that you gifted me. Golden coloured with two hearts to insert our photos( u had already put in yours). I might have overlooked it then but over years it has became my most favorite, having a special corner in my dressing mirror....and in my memories forever...

There are no words to describe the expectation that will lead to the moment when we will see each other again. The last time we met was during my college days in Pune, it lasted in a few minutes. But, our next meet will be the first ever time in our lives, when we will meet as mothers. !!!! This feeling is making me young again.so I think by the time I meet her, I just might be 16 again!mm

"When I grow up I want to be a Little Boy",Everytime  I read this simple statement by Joseph Heller,it starts to make more sense jogging nostalgic memories that defined most of my childhood.

THERE used to be a time — oh, let’s call it Childhood — when summer was considered a time of almost limitless possibilities, a time of languorous vacations, of trips filled with the promise of discovery.

Right from visitng Family and friends and pre-planned vacation pacakages ,there was so much to do in those 100 days of summer...I miss them a lot...Do you miss summer Vacations???

What makes a girl more self confident. I don't know what it is, but I'm really feeling and noticing it as of late. My shoulders are straighter, I'm standing taller now.

I don't spend thirty minutes choosing an outfit and then another ten standing in the mirror tugging at it. Judging my figure. I say "This is what I want" and I feel good about it. No second guessing lately, what's all this about?

My career went on its peak ….. I received an award for operational excellence in HR
I headed campus recruitments all over india , traveled to diffrerent places, met thousand of budding engineers , interviewed them not just about their human qualities but their technical skills too I just had this feeling of confidence about it that I don't ever remember having before.

And not just that, other small ways too. Like when strangers come up to me or speak to me in public, I don't let my hair fall in my face anymore or hunch over as if to make myself invisible. I smile more, speak up.

I've embraced my curves, my soft tummy, my hips-for-days. Its what makes me a woman. How insane is it that becoming a mother finally engraves that in my crazy brain?

I know that the decisions I make are the right ones and if not, there's no harm done. Nothing is final. I have a calm feeling about that. Again, a confidence that I will make the right choices, do the right things.

Maybe its always been there. Maybe the idea that some other human being has made their own choice to spend the rest of their life with me, that makes me think Wow. If he has confidence in me, I should too. And personally, I think that rocks....and offcourse this baby blog of mine with all you lovely followers makes me happy....Love you all
