I can now feel summer at its peak, while cleaning the windows today , I left them open for while in the morning and it was so pretty seeing the sun streaming in and those beautiful rays falling on everything.  Even my two little pet fishes welcomed  the sunshine with open arms as it  brightened everything right from that old grey rug to the coffee table and  soon I could clearly see a layer of dust on the magazine covers(oh Sun you act really jerk sometimes taking that little moment of delight from me and showing me the reality).

I'm certainly looking forward to a few days filled with rest, chatter, cuddles, walks, lounging, reading more often and sleeping. Little Black Dress 101 | How to choose a Perfect LBD |

There is absolutely nothing—nothing—like finding that amazing LBD which defines your curves by downplaying trouble spots, which can easily transform from a day to night look with a  quick change of accessories and the one which is feminine and flirty at the same time making it a timeless piece in your closet.

So are you are ready to rush off in search of your very own little black dress. Before you start swiping your credit card, here are a couple of points to consider.

Play up your Assets : An LBD is one style of dress that flatters any body shape. Additionally, if you want to show off your great arms, then go sleeveless. If you want to show off your legs, you can go a bit shorter, although do not go too short. Empire waists are great for those who want to hide a larger stomach, hips or bottom. Alternatively, if you want to show off your waist, opt for belts. The basic rule of thumb is to find a dress that minimizes the parts of your body you do not want to show off and draws the eye to the parts you do.

Fit and fabric : Always remember a LBD with impeccable tailoring and quality fabric is worth the splurge and will stand up to multiple wears. Make sure the dress fits you nicely and you have enough room to put something underneath it. And when you want to put something over it, it should still be very fitted. A well fitted LBD can even give the prettiest of gowns a run for their money.

Fashion Fades: Stick to your own personal style and incorporate the trends that work for you. Also, if you opt for a more classic style of LBD, you'll get more wear out of it. . My advice when buying a LBD is to look for one that is as simple in its design as possible, because you never want to wear a "dated" dress.

An eye for detail: When choosing between two dresses, always choose the one with the eye-catching detail. An embellished neckline, lace  detailing on sleeves, bandaged back, cut-out back ,cinched at the waist or Sparkling crystals  which bedazzle the bodice and neckline, giving  an extra pizzazz to the traditional LBD and, not to mention, your night as you strut down the street with glitzy flair

Go Minimalistic:  Don’t go mad by over accessorizing. I believe the dress should speak for itself. Let the dress be the focal point. You could add a cute arm cuff for detail or add a clutch. Keep it clean and classy!

Less is more: You must have heard the old saying "less is more," but what no one told us is what that really means. In the case of the LBD, never buy one that is too clinging or revealing, my suggestion would be to  let it gently fall over your curves. A too-tight fit. “If the dress is pulling or creasing, go up a size,”. A flimsy fabric, like thin rayon or silk, can also reveal too much underneath and a plunging neckline isn’t much better, since it easily veers into not-so-appropriate territory. Go for an appealing neckline that shows the world you are a woman, but leaves enough mystery to keep them coming back for more

Follow The 3:1 Ratio It just means you flaunt one part of your body, while concealing the other two. Opt for a LBD, which is simple, and create the “IT” statement with only one feature. For example, if you want to flaunt your legs, then opt for a short plain dress, which conceals the other parts of your body well. So its either a low neckline or a low hemline or a backless dress and not all in one.

Get ready to sink in a little extra effort and money to find your Little black dress, and they'll pay for themselves in compliments & C’mon an LBD is a closet classic & you will love it for years to come regardless of ever changing fashion fads.

I am currently eyeing on Bhaap.com which has stocked stunning LBD's from Brands like Pop Cherry, Mitch Kohl & More and Prices from Rs 999 with up to 75% off with free courier delivery, full buyer protection & lowest price guarantee. Are you coming for the LBD festival ?

Summer Wishlist for Indian Weddings | Jomso.com | Best Indian Wear for Weddings

It's a new season which in my world always means new wishlist! The lovely weather we've recently been enjoying is now starting to dwindle, and we're preparing for scorching summer heat (boo!) so I wanted to make sure I kept a check on my wardrobe and be ready for some get together and weddings in the family this summer. A wedding in the family always demands for Indian wear outfits for every function and Jomso.com never fails to deliver for me when it comes to Indian wear dresses. Whether I'm looking for suits, saree or designer wear, they have a massive selection and their prices are really affordable.

Later in the spring/summer when the weather just started to hot up I was in desperate need of some new Indian salwar suits for some weddings in the family, and I found the perfect ones at Jomso for under 50$each. I will be soon posting my outfit pictures wearing a stunning offwhite Anarkali suit from Jomso.com In the meantime I couldn't resist having a browse to see what was new in, and I came across all of these beauties. The Anarkali Suits are probably my favorites and so can't take off my eyes from this stunning Sea green and blue floor length Anarkali. The Nude and pink colored suit is just what I was searching for a few months ago, but Jomso didn't have these back then and I opted for another gorgeous one.

Currently I'm torn on this stunning Coral and Royal Blue Suit, I can't judge if I would pull them off or not but they're calling to me because they look classy and elegant, all in one! And if you like your Indian wear have a little sense of novelty and kitchy quirk this one if  for you and me Black Anarkali with Polkadots dupatta and if for you nothing defines summer better than whites, you must surely check this White and Pink straight long suit

What about you ? Have you checked the New in collection at Jomso.com yet ? Let me know in the comments below which one would you probably like to pick for wedding at home.
