Stereotyping Mothers | Create your own Brand of Motherhood | Fashion Blog India

Motherhood is a beautiful  life- changing experience but it often comes with some guilt's attached. It feels really silly admitting it but often I find myself guilty about anything and everything- to begin with I'm just not 'good enough' as a mother!!

Being a mother, you become vulnerable  to the world around you and easily fall into the trap of comparing yourself with other so called 'perfect mums' in and around you ,who keep a spotless house  being impeccably groomed at the same time, goes out on weekends with husband and is raising perfect kids. And all of a sudden everyone seems to be 'more together' than you and have a 'balanced motherhood'  but believe me it is impossible to be doing all this and retain your sanity at the same time. Things do fall apart at some stage and some of us may be better at the act of juggling and balancing things up than others. But truthfully, we are all muddling along down this path of motherhood, we might just be at different stages.  And if someone still tells you that Supermom's do exist, 'they are lying big time' .

Comparison has always been the thief of joy and when we get lost in comparing ourselves to others we can lose sight of who we are and what makes as special and unique as a person and  more importantly as a mother.

It's really 'OK' to Put off the Saturday morning housework so you can cuddle in bed with your husband a little longer while your baby naps. Take a break from the routine cooking and cleaning work, order your favorite food and spend some time with your kids. Its ok to sleep a little late and perfectly ok to take a break from' being a mom'. Its time to keep aside all the stereotypes and create your own 'brand of Motherhood'.

What it all comes down to is how you feel about yourself. If you are happy with how you look and the life that you live—fantastic! Don’t change a thing. Just remember, you don’t have to follow a set stereotyped rules to be a good mother. Parenting cannot be taught or learned, it comes naturally to everyone out of their own experiences. You can always choose to get inspired by other mothers to become a better version of yourself but never fall down that rabbit hole of comparison. Everyone has their own journey, their own strengths and passions, that’s what makes them who they are and you who you are. So embrace yours and be the mother that you are meant to be and empower those around you to do the same.Goodness knows being a woman is tough enough as it is; why are we making it harder on ourselves by comparing and thinking we should be more like someone we were not created to be? Let’s complement each other and lift each other up in this beautiful journey called motherhood!

While I sit back and have my third cup of adrak wali chai, take a break 'mommy' and enjoy the outfit pictures.

Beach is Therapeutic | Denim Overalls | Fashion Blog India

Every person has that one place to go to whenever they’re feeling stressed, depressed, angry or just need a place to let go. This is my place to let go. It always will be. The ocean is just so magical…and I will always be enchanted by it, no matter how many times I go to the beach. Yeah there will be tans but remember tans will fade but those memories will remain forever.

There is something so incredibly therapeutic about beaches. Try it sometime-and just set your heart and mind free from all the burdens of your life. It’s beautiful to be where I am, right by the sea. I’m blessed, truly!!! Life seems so different here ..it doesn't move from hour to hour like it is back home but life here moves from mood to moments. When you are at beach, you tend to live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun. Already missing my mini getaway to this beautiful place. Till next time enjoy the outfit post ......

Do what makes your soul shine and have a magical week ahead !!

Making memories at the Beach | Maxi Dress outfit | Fashion Blogger India

Wow wee, I don’t know about you but for me the weeks are just flying by! Jeepers, I can’t believe it is Friday again!

I am delighted to say that I am back from a beach vacation and oh boy what a vacation it was. And most importantly we have had a vacation where we have all been well :-) Cheeeers to good health!!!   when you are travelling with kids and a tired husband , the probability of someone getting sick during travels is always high and  mind you ,I am saying this out of experience. So it was a weekend well spent making lovely memories at the beach and mostly about indulging in little things which we usually skip in the chaos of life.

I am already in my early 30's which according to my 5 year old son, is kind of super old, ‘almost like a THOUSAND’, apparently. To be honest I’m not actually that freaked out about being 30, I’m married, have a  house, a lovely son and my baby Blog and my life mostly revolves around all these so it’s like I’m way into my 30s already really! Yeah but the only thing I am not really happy about is not being "Fit" enough. I’m petite (5ft ) and unfortunately I’m not blessed with lovely slim legs – needless to say I don't have a flat tummy anymore - thanks kid. So  mostly I dress up to emphasize the good bits and know how to hide the not so good bits but now I really want to get into the Fit category ...something has to change in life with growing years so why not a fitter me. While I ponder on the same , have a look at the pictures. And have a Happy Weekend !!
